Internet provider Sarkor Telecom reported that from February 1, 2013, company stops to render services of internet-access on CBNL-technology for juridical persons in line with growth of expenses to support and exploitation of equipment which provide for smooth internet-access on CBNL-technology.
Sarkor Telecom provides for wireless Internet access based on Pre-WiMAX technology and equipment delivered by the Company Cambridge Broadband Network Limited (CBNL). At present time, base station which operates on the frequency 3.5GHz is fixed at the Tashkent TV Tower and covers all territory of the city of Tashkent.
Need to note that CBNL technology allows to switch on to Internet in the places where other methods of Internet access (FTTx, ADSL, Dial-up) is difficult or impossible, as well as provides for quite enough high-speed of data transfer (2-8Mbite/s) and low delay (at the level of several milliseconds).
